Vision, mission and values
Our vision is what we are working towards. Our mission is what we do about it. Our values are how we behave along the way.
Our vision
To see individuals, families and communities restored, empowered and transformed through compassion, dignity and opportunity.
Our mission
To demonstrate the love of Christ through practical acts of compassion that meet immediate needs, empower people and strengthen communities.
Compassion
We begin with the person in front of us, and we respond to what they actually need rather than what is easiest to give.
Faith
Our Christian faith is the foundation of our compassion. It shapes why we serve, never whom we will serve.
Dignity
Nobody should have to trade their dignity for help. We ask only what we need to ask, and we speak about the people we serve as we would want to be spoken about.
Integrity
We do what we said we would do with what we were given, and we are honest when we fall short.
Service
We are here to be useful, not to be seen. The work matters more than the credit for it.
Inclusion
People of every faith and none are welcome, and are treated the same. We do not discriminate, and support is never conditional on religious participation.
Stewardship
Every pound given to us belongs to the purpose it was given for. We treat it that way.
Excellence
People in difficulty deserve our best work, not our leftovers.
Partnership
We are one part of a wider effort. Where another organisation is better placed to help, we say so and we refer.
Empowerment
The goal is not that people keep needing us. It is that they are equipped to build the life they want.
